Jeanne McClure, PhD

Founder & AI Principal

Jeanne is an NSF Postdoctoral Fellow at North Carolina State University’s Data Science and AI Academy and the founder of Ars Innovate. She is the developer of the Orchestration Maturity Framework — a peer-reviewed model for diagnosing enterprise AI capability across five pillars and three developmental stages — and co-authored the paper introducing it (McClure & Gerdau, 2026).

Her practitioner work spans model selection, secure RAG, and LLMOps observability. She has delivered 30+ invited talks and AI workshops since 2022 — covering the full AI landscape from classic AI methods to foundational models to agentic systems — at venues including DevOpsDays Raleigh, Raleigh Durham Startup Week, useR! 2025, the University of Nagoya (Japan), Voxel51’s Women in AI series, the Symposium on Data Science & Statistics, and Women in Data Science Raleigh. She received the Outstanding Design Paper Award at the International Conference of the Learning Sciences in 2024.

Jeanne holds a PhD from NC State and is completing an MS in Data Science at the University of West Florida. Her research is supported in part by the National Science Foundation (NSF #DGE-2222148).

She founded Ars Innovate to bridge AI research and organizational practice. The Consulting Practice delivers diagnostics, strategy sessions, multi-week readiness engagements, and ongoing advisory. The Applied Lab is currently in private pilot, building production AI tools for specific industry verticals.
