Manufacturing
AI for manufacturing teams
We help plants keep what their experienced people know, train teams to use AI on their own work, and build tools that run on your systems so proprietary data stays in the building.

What we hear from plants
- Experienced operators and technicians are retiring, and what they know isn't written downKnow-how capture →
- New hires take months to get up to speed on your equipment and processesKnow-how capture →
- Defect notes, shift handoffs, and supplier emails take too long to writeTraining →
- People want to use AI, but proprietary information can't go into free toolsTraining →
- Data sits in older machines, spreadsheets, and systems that don't talk to each otherOn-site builds →
- Leadership wants to know where AI fits before spending on itExecutive AI strategy →
Succession planning
Keep what your experienced people know
When a senior technician retires, years of troubleshooting knowledge can leave with them. We find who holds that knowledge, capture it while they are still here, and put it into a tool your team can ask.
- STEP 1Find who people go toA short survey through Ars Network maps who your people ask for help with machines, quality, and process. It shows who holds the know-how and where one retirement would leave a gap.
- STEP 2Capture what they knowWorking sessions with those people, plus the manuals, notes, and work instructions you already have.
- STEP 3Build an assistant your team can askAn AI assistant built on what we captured and tested against your own cases before anyone relies on it. It can run on your own systems.
What you get
- A map of who holds critical know-how, and where the gaps are
- A written report and a briefing for leadership
- The captured knowledge, organized for your team
- A working AI assistant, tested on your cases
- Training so your team can use and update it
- Documentation you own
Training for plant teams
Hands-on sessions built around your tools and your work. Your people leave with something they can use the next day.
Prompt templates for supervisors and engineers
Reusable templates for defect summaries, shift handoffs, supplier briefs, and emails, using the ICI framework (Instruction, Context, Inputs). Your team builds them on its own reports during the session.
What is AI, and what does it mean for my job?
For plant teams new to AI. What it can and can't do, where it shows up on the floor, and how to use it safely with company information.
Where AI lives and where your data goes
For leadership, IT, and OT. Cloud, on-prem, and the edge: what each means for proprietary data, cost, and control, and how to decide.
Trust but verify: how do you know the answer is right?
For engineers and quality teams. Most of us judge an AI answer by whether it sounds right. This session shows how to check one instead: a set of questions you already know the answers to, run against the tool, marked pass or fail.
Tools that run in your plant
Workflow tools, dashboards, and AI assistants built on your data. AI only where it pays off, tested on your own cases, and able to run on your own systems so proprietary data stays in the building. See builds →

Common questions
Does our data have to leave the building?
No. We can build tools that run on your own systems, so proprietary information stays on-site.
What if we don't need AI?
Then we will tell you. Sometimes the answer is a workflow change or training.
How do you find who holds the know-how?
A short relationship mapping survey asks people who they go to for help. The map shows who holds the network together and where one retirement would leave a gap.
Who does the work?
Dr. Jeanne McClure leads every project. When a problem needs a specialist, such as cybersecurity, we bring in trusted partners.
Where are you located?
We are based in the Raleigh-Durham Research Triangle in North Carolina, with in-person availability in Tampa Bay and Western New York, and we work with plants across the United States.
